How Does CureTape Tape Work?

The unique combination of thinness, elasticity and adhesive wave pattern allows CureTape to microscopically lift the skin, creating a space between the skin and the underlying tissues. This relieves pressure and irritation on the underlying pain receptors, which can lead to a rapid relief of pain. It also reduces pressure on the lymphatic drainage system, allowing it to more effectively remove fluid causing swelling and edema. These qualities create a therapeutic tape of unsurpassed quality that can used as a sports tape or athletic tape just as effectively as a medical tape.

The elasticity of CureTape allows it to provide support without restricting range of motion, an important feature for injured athletes who desire to continue training as they recover from their injuries.

What is CureTape Made From?

CureTape is made of 100% premium quality cotton for comfort and breathability and contains no latex or medications. The backing contains a light, medical-grade adhesive made of 100% hypoallergenic acrylic. The adhesive is heat-activated – simply apply to the skin and rub briskly to activate. It is easily removed and leaves no sticky residue. Moisture dissipates quickly through the porous material of the tape, allowing it to withstand sweating, showering and even swimming without coming off or irritating skin. Unlike traditional athletic tape, most CureTape applications can be worn for up to 5 days. This allows the therapeutic benefits to continue, 24 hours per day.

What Makes CureTape Special?

Because CureTape has an almost identical thickness and elasticity as human skin, it is completely comfortable to wear. It does not compress, bind or chaffe sensitive areas. The Medical Taping Concept of kinesiology taping involves applying the tape directly over and/or around the boundaries of muscles and joints, rather than encasing them in tape, as traditional athletic taping does. This allows CureTape to provide support without restricting a healthy range of motion. This feature is especially appreciated by athletes and injured individuals who need to continue their activities as they recover from an injury.
